Through the “Niche Practice” program, which was started by the NARE SBT, Interlawyers learned, in 2010, of the breadth of expertise many Interlaw member firms have in negotiating complex sports and entertainment events, venue deals, and talent and athletes’ contracts. There is significant sports arbitration experience as well. Real estate Interlawyers in nearly every jurisdiction have participated in the legal aspects of buying, selling, and managing sports and entertainment venues and resorts, and many Interlaw member firms have long-time relationships with local and international sports federations, organizations, clubs and players/performers as well as those industry players partnering with sports and entertainment entities such as sponsors. SBT members work together to provide sponsors of events seamless legal services across state and international boundaries, often bringing additional value to major “players.”
